It appears that this fickle Mimi
is always playing hard to get and if Mimi and KeeKee were not supposed to get married first, Mr. BoJangles wouldn't be pouting so much!
April 21, 2000
The wink winks went to the mall! Bambi tried on every
Easter outfit in the stores. Mr. BoJangles snuck off to the
arcade to play video games. The girl was not very happy about this;
but, Mr.BoJangles took Bambi out for a wonderful dinner of salmon souffle and creamed tuna tarts, and was forgiven.
June 05, 2000
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles, finally got to have some time
alone. Mr. Bo took Bambi to see the play "Cats"! He brought her a lovely
corsage, which they ate on the way to the theatre. During the
intermission, they had some special Catnip Champagne and tuna crepes.
Afterwards, they cuddled in the back of the limo and munched on turkey
sandwiches and milk. Mr. Bo was very handsome in his tuxedo; and, Bambi
looked lovely in her prettiest outfit.
Meanwhile, Mimi and KeeKee got stuck with babysitting Molly!
June 14, 2000
Bambi borrowed KeeKee's Pink Catillac and drove all the way to Mr.
BoJangles house, by herself. On the way, she stopped at a seaside
deliCATessen and picked up a lovely halibut parfait, which they shared
with Mr. Bo's sisfurs. They took a ride among the magnificent Redwood
trees; but, were too full to even consider climbing any of them. They
decided, instead, to just cuddle up under one and dream about their
future together.
June 25, 2000
Our wink winks, KeeKee & Mimi and Bambi & Mr. BoJangles, decided to get
together with all of their kitty families, and have a dinner party at
Mimi's house. They even invited their friends, Amos and Andy, since their
meowmie has them on a diet, and everyone feels sorry for them. Amos & Andy were bringing a floral arrangement for the centerpiece; but, it's a long
way from New York; and, unfortunately they were very hungry!!
Mimi and her little sisfur, Molly, prepared a lovely salmon souffle,
with cream topping. Mr. BoJangles and his little sisfurs, The Little Girl and Cybil, brought a tuna and halibut casserole, and catnip salad. KeeKee, Bambi and Littlefoot made a fabulous dessert of vanilla ice cream, generously sprinkled with Pounce Tartar Control Treats and whipped cream.
July 4, 2000
Our wink winks are planning a quiet Independence Day, with a picnic in
the afternoon, and home early, to watch the fireworks on TV, where they
can see the pretty colors; but not have to hear the scary noises that go
with them. Mr. BoJangles has promised to catch some lobsters to go with
Bambi's world famous creamed chipped turkeymeat and carnation salad. Mimi will bring her original recipe salmon loaf with minced halibut appetizers. KeeKee's job is to pick up the paper bowls and other supplies and two gallons of catnip punch, in his Pink Catillac. (He's a terrible cook)
July 12, 2000
The lovely and talented Mimi prepared a special dinner for KeeKee's 4th
birthday. She started with a turkeymeat casserole, garnished with sprigs
of fresh catnip. For dessert, they enjoyed vanilla ice cream, topped with
flaked tuna. The two ate silently, as they gazed lovingly into each others
great big eyes. After dinner, they cuddled and shared many whisker kisses.
Knowing that Mimi and Keek wanted to be alone, Mr. BoJangles and Bambi
borrowed Keek's Pink Catillac and went out for junk food. For
appetizers, they stopped at Taco Bell, for tuna tacos; then, on to
MacDonald's for their main course of fish sandwiches and chicken Mc
Nuggets. For dessert, they went Dairy Queen and bought a huge milkshake,
with two straws :) They were very neat; and did not make a mess in
KeeKee's car.
July 22, 2000
Mr. BoJangles and Mimi were very lonely while their beloved wink winks,
Bambi and KeeKee were in Denmark, at Mille's birthday party; so, they
rented a limo and went to pick them up at the airport.
KeeKee was so happy to see his Mimi, that he let his sisfur, Littlefoot,
drive his pink catillac home from the airport parking lot; while he and
the other love bugs went for a long ride in the limo.
Mr. BoJangles had brought Bambi her favorite salmon pate, which they
shared in the back seat. Mimi gave KeeKee a fresh batch of catnip, which
made them all start giggling. The limo driver tells us there was a lot of
cuddling and whisker kissing going on that night!!
August 1, 2000
After having so much fun at Hope's beach party, our wink winks decided
to stay at the beach and have a bon fire. While KeeKee and Mr BoJangles
took a quick swim, Bambi & Mimi built the fire. They didn't want to get
their hair messed up swimming.
Later on, they toasted some tuna flavored marshmallows, and sang songs
around the fire while they watched the moon rise. KeeKee made sure that
everyone got the sand out of their bathing suits before getting back in
his Pink Catillac for the ride home; and poor Mimi had to help Keek get
the sand out of his Speedos......!!
They rode home with the top down, enjoying the lovely ocean breeze, and
decided to do this again, very soon.
August 16, 2000
After a hard week of campaigning for "Purrsident", KeeKee and Mimi
decided to take a break and spend the weekend playing with their toys.
They have decided that, if KeeKee becomes Purrsident, they will change
the Oval Office into a big playroom, filled with toys from all over the
world. All this playing led to a junk food pig-out of tuna burgers, salmon
cakes and catnip brownies.
On the other hand, Bambi asked her beloved Mr. BoJangles to help her
practice being the "Secretary of Da Food"; and those two spent the week on
a food inspection tour. Of course, each inspection includes tasting the
product, so they were pretty stuffed by Sunday and had a light dinner of
tuna crepes followed by some cuddling and a long nap.
August 28, 2000
KeeKee and Mimi spent the week touring the country in Keek's Pink
Catillac and campaigning for Purrsidency. By the weekend, they were
tired, so they stopped in Oklahoma for a visit with their good buddies,
Cheech, Al, Nic, Puffer, and the Little Man, otherwise known as the "d'g
creature". While Cheech bar-b-qued salmon steaks and tuna sausages, KeeKee shared his best California catnip.
Later, they had a big bonfire and told scary stories to the Little Man.
Mimi cuddled close to Keek while the story telling was going on.
If you haven't picked up KeeKee's campaign banner, yet, please go HERE.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles took the week off from campaigning for Bambi's
run for Secretary of Da Food. They said they just couldn't face testing
one more diner or cat food factory. Instead, they stayed home and had a
wonderful candle light dinner of cat grass salad, followed by a chicken in
cream sauce casserole, accompanied by a delightful catnip wine. For dessert, they had vanilla ice cream topped with chopped sardines. They started to cuddle; but, soon they fell fast asleep in each other's paws.
September 12, 2000
After a week of campaigning for the "Purrsidency" and helping their
meowmies move the webrings, all of our wink winks were so tired that
they decided to treat themselves to a day off. They pooled all their
allowances and rented a limo! KeeKee was so tired, that he didn't even
want to drive his Pink Catillac...and you all know how much he loves to
drive.
First they had the limo driver take them to a fancy deli, where they
bought turkey meat, boneless chicken, salmon patties and some fresh
fish. Then, they were driven to a pet store, where they stocked up on
treats, catnip and a few toys. They took their treasures to the beach,
where KeeKee and Mr. BoJangles built a sand castle, while Bambi and Mimi
caught up on the latest gossip.
By the time they had eaten all the food and tried out all the new toys,
they were ready to go home. Back in the limo, they offered the driver some of their catnip; but, he told them he doesn't nip and drive, which is a
good thing. Before long, they were all cuddled up and napping!
September 30, 2000
Since our wink winks all live in CATifornia, they decided to go visit
their friends Amos & Andy, in upstate Mew York, so they could play in
the crispy autumn leaves falling from the trees. So, Mimi & KeeKee and
Mr. BoJangles and Bambi all piled into Keek's Pink Catillac and headed
East!
Once they got there, they had a great time pouncing on the leaves as
they fell, and rolling in the great big piles on the ground. All this
cool fresh air made them hungry, so Amos & Andy's meowmie prepared a
great big bowl of turkeymeat Chili with flaked salmon and sauteed tuna.
Later, all six furbabies camped out in the back yard and watched the
stars until they fell asleep, bellies full, and exhausted from all the
fun they had.
October 6, 2000
Mimi was very angry with KeeKee about the "catnip scandal"; but, he
brought her some lovely flowers, which she ate and then forgave him.
Mimi let him hide, from the reporters, at her house. Molly was so happy to
see Keek that she fixed a big bowl of Fancy Feast, mixed with fresh tuna
and shaved turkeymeat, and shared it with them. Later, they played with
their toys, until Molly went to bed; and, Mimi and Keek went out on the
patio to cuddle on a lawn chair.
Meanwhile, Bambi and Mr. BoJangles were back on the campaign trail.
Running for Secretary of Da Food isn't an easy job, even for kitties
that love to eat; but, they borrowed Keek's pink Catillac and got back
to the job of testing the food at various diners and drive-ins. Mr.
BoJangles was very impressed with the sauteed salmon at one diner; and,
Bambi gave a two paws up to the catfish casserole at another. They were so full, by the time they got home, that they decided to save their dessert
of trout flavored ice cream for breakfast, and fell fast asleep in each
others paws.
October 27, 2000
Bambi & Mr. BoJangles and KeeKee & Mimi decided to go shopping for
treats for the small humans that come begging on Halloween. They bought
several flavors of Pounce, cans of Fancy Feast, fresh salmon and trout and
the best catnip they could find. Then they made small packages, with a
little bit of each treat, tied up neatly in a bow, to give the little
beggers that always annoy them on Halloween.
Of course, they stashed a good portion of these goodies for themselves.
When asked why they didn't buy chocolate or other human favorites, their
response was that they couldn't eat the leftovers! These kitties are
getting a little too smart for their own good!
November 10, 2000
Since Keek was so disappointed about not being elected Purrsident, Mimi
decided to surprise him and fix his favorite dinner. So, she bought some
fresh turkeymeat, chopped it very fine and prepared a casserole, with
shaved ham, crushed Pounce and minced sardines sprinked on top. KeeKee ate so much that he almost didn't have room for the salmon flavored ice cream,
topped with tuna and catnip, that Mimi bought at the gourmet cat deli.
After dinner, they played with Mimi's toys until they fell asleep in
Mimi's catnapper and dreamed of that big White House that some human is
going to live in, instead of them.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles were actually relieved that the campaign is
over. They finally got to go out on the town without the responsibility of
reporting on service and food. They started out at a kitty cat night club,
where they danced their little paws off and sipped catnip martinis and
munched on liver and cheese appetizers, followed by huge portions of fresh
trout sauteed in butter and cream. They didn't get home til dawn and
nobody is telling where else they went!!!
THANKSGIVING - 2000
Mimi and Bambi told KeeKee and Mr. BoJangles to go out into the woods
and bring home a turkey for Thanksgiving.
While Mr. Bo and Keek thought this was odd, they did as they were told.
Mimi and Bambi prepared a wonderful meal of salmon patties covered in
cream sauce, sauteed tuna steaks and a special dish of corn for the
turkey.
After the delicious dinner, they all sat around and discussed the things
they have to be thankful for, like nice warm houses, humans that love
them, toys and lots of food! The turkey was especially thankful that he
was invited to participate in the dinner, and not BE the dinner.
Later on, after they helped the girls clean up and wash the dishes,
KeeKee and Mr. BoJangles jumped in Keek's pink catillac and drove the
turkey home.
December 9, 2000
Well, it's that time of year again, when Mimi & Bambi drag KeeKee and
Mr. BoJangles to the mall, for Christmas shopping. KeeKee tried to get
out of it, by saying his Catillac wouldn't start; but, Mimi was wise to
that trick and hooked the battery back up. All day, the boys moaned and
groaned, as the girls visited every store in the mall. KeeKee complained
that he was hungry. Mr. Bo said his paws were tired from walking.
The girls were just about to give up on them, when they came across a
catnip bar, and just left Keek and Mr. Bo there!
The girls finished their shopping, quickly, stopped at the salon and had
their fur and nails done, and went back to the catnip bar to pick up the
boys, who were really feeling their nip! Bambi drove home. while Keek
and Mr. Bo "slept it off" in the back seat. The girls decided that from
now on, they go to the mall alone!!
WINK WINKS' CHRISTMAS
KeeKee and Mr. BoJangles were very relieved to hear that the Christmas
shopping was over...all except for picking out and decorating a tree!!
After searching for hours, Bambi and Mimi chose a lovely tree; and, Keek
and Mr. Bo loaded it into KeeKee's Pink Catillac for the trip home. They
decorated it beautifully; and made Littlefoot promise not to climb it,
like she did last year!!
Later, they lit a cozy fire and toasted sardines and Pounce treats,
listened to their favorite Christmas music (Alvin and the Chipmunks),
and fell asleep with visions of catnip and toys in their heads
January 8, 2001
Poor KeeKee told Mimi that his new little sister was chasing him, so
being the sweety that she is, Mimi has invited Keek to go live with her
and Molly. KeeKee thinks we don't know about this; but, we have seen him
loading his toys into his pink Catillac, a little bit at a time. We'll
know for sure, if he sneaks the catnip out. I don't think that Mimi's
meowmie, Christy, knows about this yet. Won't she be surprised when Keek
shows up at her doorstep with his little suitcase!!
Bambi, on the other hand, doesn't mind a bit of chasing, as long as the
food bowls are full; so, she called Mr. BoJangles and invited him down
here to spend the weekend on the beach with her. She rented a tent; and,
stocked it with cat food, tuna, salmon patties, turkeymeat, milk, ice
cream and Doritos (her favorite). We won't have to worry about what they
will be doing all weekend :).
January 24, 2001
Our own wink winks had a very busy week. Although Mimi is still a bit
angry that KeeKee joined the Boys Only Baseball Club, she agreed to play
miniature golf with him, on Saturday night. They found the golf clubs a
bit awkward, but had a blast batting the balls into the holes with their
little paws. Unfortunately, the manager of the course didn't find this
amusing, and asked them to leave. Undaunted, they jumped back into
Keek's Pink Catillac and headed for the local Dairy Queen for milkshakes
and catnip sundaes.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles decided to stay home and wait for the "rolling
blackouts" that are happening in Catifornia. They lit candles and had a
romantic evening of playing with their toys and devouring a tasty meal
of cold sardines, tuna-salmon salad, sliced lox and a dessert of
icecream cake topped with whipped cream and shaved turkeymeat. Soon the
flickering candle light made them drowsy; and, they fell asleep cuddled
in each other's paws.
VALENTINE'S DAY, 2001
Although Mimi was very angry with KeeKee for attending the Boys Only
Purrtest March, he assured her that he was only protesting against his
bossy sisters; and, that he still loves his Mimi very much. Mimi forgave
him, so they made plans to double date with Bambi & Mr. BoJangles for
Valentine's Day.
Keek and Mr. Bo ordered flowers for the girls, in their most favorite
flavors and made reservations for a moonlight cruise in Dana Point
Harbor. Bambi and Mimi found a wonderful recipe for catnip and
turkeymeat cake and plan to make it in the shape of a heart. We expect
that romance will be in the air for these four lovebugs :).
February 22, 2001
While shredding the Sunday newspaper, KeeKee came across a "$10.00 a
carload" coupon for the local drive-in, and decided to treat all the
wink winks and even the little sisters to a movie. So, Keek and his
lovely Mimi, Bambi and her handsome Mr. BoJangles, Mimi's little sister,
Molly, and her new wink wink, Luverboy, Littlefoot and Sweet Baboo (who
have been on several dates) and even the Little Girl and Sara, piled into
the Pink Catillac and were off to the movies.
Keek parked close to the concession stand and playground, for
convenience; and, as soon as they got there, they all headed to the
stand for treats. They bought huge buckets of popcorn and licked off all
the butter, tuna burgers, fish tacos and turkeymeat pizzas. After
devouring this feast and realizing they had not been paying any
attention to the movie, they decided to check out the playground.
The bigger cats pushed the smaller cats on the swings. Everyone played
on the monkey bars; and, they all thought it was very convenient that
there was such a nice large "sandbox" for them. Unfortunately, when the
manager came out to tell them to be a little more quiet, he saw what they
had done in the "sandbox" and asked them to leave.
Although they really didn't understand, they were tired, and ready to
leave, anyways. Everyone had a great time!
March 3, 2001
Well, if you've already visited the Catty Corner or the BFCC, you know
that KeeKee is in quite a bit of trouble. From getting caught
infiltrating the girls message board, to impurrsonating an alien and
ending up dressed up in a pink cheerleader costume. He sure had a lot of
explaining to do to his lovely Mimi. It wasn't easy; but, after
showering her with presents, including a bouquet of fresh, tasty
flowers, a new toy mousie, a hardy supply of fresh catnip and his
promise to behave, she finally consented to have dinner with him at his
house. As part of his apology, he had to prepare the entire dinner with his own little paws. Not being an expert in the kitchen, he stuck to easy
recipes, and fixed a nice fresh lawn clippings salad followed by an
entree of thinly sliced turkeymeat covered with sour cream and a light
sprinkling of shredded salmon. After Keek cleaned everything up, he must
have been totally forgiven; as, we saw them holding paws in the
moonlight and looking lovingly into each others great big eyes.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles, on the other hand, are as much in love as ever.
Bambi is so glad that Mr. Bo isn't hanging around with that rowdy group
of boys at the Boys Only Baseball Club, that she decided to take Mr. Bo
out bowling. Although they enjoyed rolling the bowling balls down the
alley, they never did figure out exactly how to fit their paws into the
holes; and, they were a bit peeved when the manager made them rent two
pairs of bowling shoes, each!! They made up for all this by bowling
purrfect games and showing that kitties can roll a big ball as good as
anyone....possibly better!!
March 17, 2000
Since KeeKee is in Mew York, with his buddies, he was unable to see his
lovely and talented Mimi this weekend; but, this is a copy of an e-mail
he sent her:
"My dearest Mimi.....
I hopes mew not mad at me fur going to Mew York wiff my buddies. I
purrmise I not luking at any offur gurl kitties. I jes hafed to hides
out furm Bitsy and her pink cheerleaders outfits and all da offur

Luff & whisker kisses......Keek"
Meanwhile, back in CATifornia, Bambi & Mr. BoJangles decided to take a
quick trip, also. They spent the weekend in Las Vegas, where, although
they aren't old enough to gamble or go to any of the lounge shows, they
had a fabulous time visiting every buffet on the Strip. They sampled a
special fish fry at one, and had enormous plates of turkeymeat and ham
at another.
Then they discovered the DESSERT buffet. From cream pies to ice cream
sundaes...they ate everything. By the time they returned to their hotel
room, they were too stuffed to even try the "goodies bar", and saved
that for breakfast. The plane trip home was lovely; and they enjoyed
another hearty lunch of salmon patties, fried perch and tuna in a bed of
flower petals.
April 4, 2001
Once again, KeeKee had to be interviewed by a remote reporter, as he
still hasn't returned from his trip to Mew York. He sends the following
message to his lovely and talented Mimi:
My dearest Mimi,
I is afurd it mite be jes a little longer until I ken luk into mewr
beautifur green eyes, as I am still in a lot of turrble wiff Queen Bitsy
and all her Whackos....oops, I mean Whackers. I purrmise dat I is being
gud and not peeing in da snow no more. I also purrmise to brings mew
lots of purrsents furm Mew York. I hopes mew still luffs me and is
beings gud too. Don't luk at no boy kitties while I is gone.
Luff, KeeKee
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles decided to take advantage of the lovely
California weather, and took a long stroll, paw in paw, along the beach.
Of course that made them hungry; so, they found a delightful little
cafe, where the specialty was salmon patties and creamed tuna topped
with gourmet catnip. After devouring two helpings, each, they went back
to the beach to watch the sun set behind CATalina Island. They topped
off the evening with sardine flavored ice cream cones.
April 13, 2001
My dearest Mimi,
I purrmise to be home to spends Easfur wiff mew. I is gonna bring mew da
purrtiest Easfur bonnet furm da mose expensife store in Mew York; so,
wears mewr bestest Easfur dress. I purrmise I won't be wearing no dress
or pink cheerleaders cloze. We ken has a big party and invites all our
little sisfurs, if dat OK wiff mew. I hopes I duzn't get catched by
Bitsy, on my way home. Wishes me luck.
Luff & Easfur bonnets.....Keek
Meanwhile, back in Catifornia, Bambi & Mr. BoJangles are planning a huge
Easter feast for all the wink winks and their sisters. The proposed menu
is as follows:
Ham, baked in special catnip glaze, creamed tuna and trout casserole,
sweet potatoes topped with crushed Pounce treats, miniature shrimp
rolled in leaves with sour cream dipping sauce and, for dessert, salmon
mousse pie! They intend to do all the cooking in advance, so everykitty
can enjoy Easter Day!
May 30, 2001
Although Mimi still hasn't completely forgiven KeeKee, for his
appearance as a cheerleader, at the baseball game between Bitsy's
Whackers and the Revolting Boyz, she decided to call a truce for the
Memorial Day weekend; and, agreed to a bar-b-que with Bambi and Mr.
BoJangles, on the condition that the boys to all the shopping and
cooking!
While Mr. Bo and Keek were at the super market, purchasing all the food
and treats, Mimi and Bambi were having their fur and nails done and
buying new outfits, to look their very best for this party.
The girls were very impressed, when they saw Keek and Mr. Bo preparing a
feast of grilled salmon steaks, marinated in creamed catnip, chicken
legs coated with crushed Pounce treats and a whole turkey, stuffed with
chopped ham, cheese and trout, slowly roasting over an open fire.
But....before they stuffed themselves, they lowered their furry little
heads and had a moment of silence, in honor of Memorial Day, and in
memory of the men and women who served and lost their lives for the
protection and preservation of their country.
JUNE 14, 2001
Nobody is more relieved that Keekella has finally been exposed for who
she, er, um, he, um....whatever...really is than KeeKee and his wink
wink, the lovely and talented Mimi.
After their romantic reconciliation at the BFCC dance, and the promise
from Keek that he would never appear in public wearing a "bazeer" again,
they joined Bambi and her handsome and clever wink wink, Mr. BoJangles,
for a midnight stroll on the ocean shore.
The two couples were delighted to find that some careless fishermen had
left a pile of fresh lobsters behind, on the beach. They gathered
driftwood and built a fire to cook the lobsters, which they ate until
they couldn't even move a single paw.
After a much needed nap, and a quick trip to the litterbox, the foursome
were ready for dessert; so, they hopped into KeeKee's Catillac and went
to the Dairy Queen for fish flavored ice cream sodas, topped with
whipped cream and a generous sprinking of catnip.
JULY 4th, 2000
Well, it seems that our wink winks, KeeKee & Mimi and Bambi & Mr.
BoJangles, are taking the phrase "lazy days of summer" to a new level!
All they want to do is go to the beach, nap, bar-b-que tuna burgers,
nap, drink salmon favored shakes, nap and take naps!!
AUGUST 8, 2001
KeeKee and Mimi were so tired after surfing all day, at the BFCC Luau,
that they decided to stay in Hawaii for a few days and rest up. They
rented a very fancy hotel room and had room service bring them orders of
filleted salmon, grilled shark, turkeymeat (or course), cream pies
sprinkled with catnip and fish-colas and milk to wash it all down. Rumor
has it, they then took a three day cat nap.
Meanwhile, Mr. BoJangles was so jealous of all the boy kitties watching
his Bambi swinging and swaying in her little hula skirt, that he rushed
her back to the mainland, where he took her to KFC for chicken strips
and then to the local Dairy Queen, where he treated her to her favorite
hot sardines sundae, with whipped cream and Pounce sprinkles. He told
her that he would much rather watch her eat than dance around in front
of all the boy kitties.
September 15, 2001
In light of the events of this past week, there will be no wink wink
report; but, the "kids" have a special message to all the humans that
might be reading this:
If you know of an animal that might be waiting at home for a human
guardian that is not able to return or may never be able to return,
please do all you can to see that these pets are being fed and taken
care of. In many cases, they may have only had one guardian; and, if
that guardian is gone, these poor babies will starve. Please don't let
them be yet another casualty of this horrible terrorist attack.
JANUARY 3, 2002
The day after Christmas, all four wink winks, KeeKee & Mimi and Bambi &
Mr. BoJangles, got together at Mimi's house to show off all their new
toys, treats and catnip. KeeKee, always the "toys manager" organized
some games; and, Mr. BoJangles passed out the nip, making sure that his
precious Bambi got a little extra. Bambi thought that was so sweet that
she cuddled with Mr. Bo while the younger couple wore themselves out
playing.
After awhile, they were all hungry; so, the boys jumped into Keek's pink
catillac and went out for junk food. They brought home tuna tacos, filet
of perch burgers, french fried spiders and creamed turkey. They washed
this down with lobster flavored shakes followed by turkeymeat pie, for
dessert. Before the last french fried spider was eaten, Mimi and KeeKee
were sound asleep, together in front of the fire place, soon to be
followed by Mr. Bo and Bambi.
To any passersby, it appeared to be two soft piles of fur purring softly :)
FEBRUARY 12, 2002
Knowing that they would be attending the double wedwink, on Valentine's
Day, Mr. BoJangles arranged for a special hay ride through the Redwood
Forest, for him and his Bambi, on Valentine's Eve. Bambi packed a picnic
basket of fried sardines, catfish sandwiches and candied tuna puffs. The
two cuddled as the horses carried them through the beautiful scenery;
and, they ate their picnic dinner beneath one of the largest Redwoods in
the forest. On the way back, they stopped to use a roadside litter box,
and then continued their romantic journey, with full bellies and loving
thoughts, laughing and cuddling all the way back.
Mimi and KeeKee had an entirely different idea for Valentine
celebrating. They went out clubbing. They started at the Kitty Kat Klub
where they had dinner and 'nip beers; and, from there they went to the
Feline Frolic for dancing and more 'nip beer. KeeKee left his Pink
CATillac home and hired a limo for the evening; as he knows better than
to 'nip and drive. Before going home, they had the driver take them to
the beach, where they strolled in the moonlight, stopping every now and
then for a whisker kiss or two. By the time they got home, they were
both sound asleep in the back seat.
MARCH 8, 2002
With the weather so unseasonably warm in Southern Catifornia, the wink
winks decided to have a small beach party. The girls, Mimi and Bambi,
prepared a picnic basket with fried tuna cakes, fresh catnip salad,
roasted turkeymeat and creamed salmon meringue pie for lunch. The boys,
KeeKee and Mr.BoJangles, brought hamburgers, made from real ham, and
lobsters for later.
After they ate lunch, they decided to go surfing in the big waves. At
first, Mimi and Bambi didn't want to get their hair wet; but, when they
saw how much fun the boys were having, they decided to "hang 20", too.
Before long, they were hungry again; so, the boys built a huge bonfire
and cooked their delicacies, while the girls went to the public
litterbox room and fixed their make up and fur, stopping at the
refreshment stand and buying a bag of mousemallows to roast over the
bonfire.
After they filled their little bellies, they sat around the campfire
cuddling, telling stories and singing their favorite songs, including
"Catnip Days Are Here Again" and "Morris Row The Boat Ashore". They
stayed until the life guards closed down the beach; and, then they put
the top down on KeeKee's pink Catillac and cruised slowly home. Sources
tell us that they slept for two days after all that sun, fun, food and
excitement.
MARCH 22, 2002
Last weekend, Mimi & KeeKee and Bambi & Mr. BoJangles decided to try
their paws at camping. They packed up KeeKee's Pink Catillac with tents,
food, pots and pans, a portable litterbox (the girls refused to go potty
behind a cactus), lanterns, a cooking stove and plenty of warm clothes,
since the desert gets very cold at night.
When they arrived at the campsite, the boys started right in on pitching
their tents. After a couple of hours, they realized it wasn't as easy as
it looks; so, they called the girls over; and, between them finally got
something that resembled tents.
Once this work was done, they all took a stroll through the desert and
admired all the cacti that were in bloom. KeeKee spotted a lizard, which
he chased for about half a mile; but, this clever critter got away. That
made KeeKee really hungry; so, back to the campsite they all went.
While the girls got all the food ready, the boys started the camp stove
and began to cook. They gathered around the warm stove and stuffed
themselves with filet of salmon, roasted turkeymeat, boiled lizard (not
the one that KeeKee chased) and a slice of catnip bread, each.
With their dinner done and all cleaned up, they realized that there was
not much to do in the desert; and, it was cold; so, they all bundled up
in one tent, picked all the sand out of each other's toes (and other
parts) and went to sleep.
In the morning, they decided they had enough of the desert and headed
for the beach, where they all feel more at home and the sand is a lot
softer.
APRIL 10, 2002
On the eve of Easter, Mimi and KeeKee decided that they wanted to meet
the Easter Bunny, in person; so, they stayed up all night, hiding. Just
before dawn, they heard a rustling in the bushes outside; and, sure
enough, it was the Easter Bunny, himself. Keek sneaked outside and
slowly inched his way towards the noises. Mimi waited inside as backup.
Suddenly, the Easter Bunny was alerted, when Keek accidentally stepped
on a twig; and, he started to run. KeeKee began pursuit. They ran
through the neighbors' yard, waking up all the kitties in that house who
then started chasing KeeKee. When they reached the corner, five d'gs
joined in, chasing the neighbors' kitties.
KeeKee was getting tired; but, he continued the chase. Finally, he was
within paws reach of the Bunny; but, just as he reached out to grab him,
the Bunny disappeared.....just disappeared! Of course, the neighbors'
kitties and the five dogs were still chasing Keek; but, he got away.
Out of breath, but not wanting to disappoint the lovely and talented
Mimi, Keek went to K-Mart and bought the biggest stuffed Easter Bunny he
could find. Mimi was delighted; because this was a bunny that she could
cuddle with all year long.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles, being the dignified adult kitties that they
are, decided to leave the Easter Bunny chasing to the younger ones and
opted for a gourmet dinner at the Kitty Kat-Nip Bar and Grille.
Since KeeKee was busy chasing imaginary bunnies, Mr. Bo borrowed his
Pink Catillac and picked Bambi up with a delicious bouquet of flowers in
his paws. The flowers made a wonderful appetizer and the beginning of a
great meal. At the Kitty Kat-Nip Bar and Grille, they ordered several
entrees and shared, family style.
For starters, they munched on shrimp pate; and, before the dinner was
over, they had eaten tuna soup, salmon strips sauteed in cream sauce,
mousieburgers with the works and French fried turkeymeat rings. By the
time the waiter arrived, with the dessert menu, they were quite full;
but, they "forced" themselves to indulge in hot catnip sundaes. To top
off the evening, they went to lovers' lane and snuggled until they fell
asleep.
MAY 7, 2002
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles decided to go for an old fashioned hay ride.
They went to a local ranch, hired a team of horses and a driver and
snuggled down into the hay, since the nights are still cool, here in
southern CATifornia.
After the ride was over, they petted the horses soft muzzles and fed
them crisp apples, right from their paws. Bambi giggled when the horsie
nibbled on her toes. Mr. BoJangles thought it was so cute that he gave
Bambi a big hug. On the way home, they mewed about getting wedwinked and having a horse ranch of their own, some day.
MEMORIAL DAY - MAY 30, 2002
Well, once again, KeeKee is in trouble with his wink wink, the lovely
and talented Mimi. As if it wasn't bad enough that he was giving
belching lessons at the Nipzbeer Garden of the Fat Is Fun Carnival, what
he did at Izzy's Gormay Fude booth was worse!!! Mimi didn't even want to
mew with him, much less be seen in public with him; but, KeeKee begged
and pleaded and promised to be good. Mimi finally gave in; and, they
went on the rest of the rides at the Carnival and even snuggled in
Futzell's Funhouse.
Bambi and Mr. BoJangles decided to spend Sunday watching the Indy 500
and the Coca Cola 600. They stocked up on snacks for the day, including
lots of turkeymeat, tuna, nip flavored ice cream, salmon pate and a huge
supply of trout on a stick. They both love to watch the little cars go
around and around on the TV screen :).
JUNE 14, 2002
The wink winks, Mimi & KeeKee and Bambi & Mr. BoJangles, decided to
spend last weekend together. They all hoped into KeeKee's pink catillac
for the hour and a half drive down to Mexico.
The first thing they did, after they arrived, was to find a place to
eat. Mimi and KeeKee had the house special, Turkeymeat Fiesta; and,
Bambi & Mr. BoJangles shared a plate of Salmon Fajitas.
To work off some of this food, they went shopping. The boys weren't too
happy about this; but, the girls dragged them along. Mimi found an
adorable toe ring at a little jewelry shop; and, Bambi bought a lovely
serape for cool summer evenings.
As they were headed back to the catillac, they spotted a large flock of
California quails and chased them all the way to the beach.
Unfortunately, the Mexican police didn't like this very much; so, all
four of them spent the night in the Tijuana Jail.
In the morning, they called their meowmies to come and bail them out.
JULY 4TH, 2002
Our four wink winks had always heard about all the excitement that goes
on in Las Vegas; and, they wanted to experience some of this for
themselves; so, they all jumped into KeeKee's pink catillac and took off
for adventure.
Mimi and Bambi packed a picnic lunch, which they started munching on
immediately. Mr. BoJangles brought a bag of his best catnip; but, KeeKee
said he'd save his for when they got to Vegas. He knows better than to
"nip" and drive.
As they rounded the last mountain and the desert appeared before them,
Bambi exclaimed that this was the biggest litter box she had ever seen!!
This reminded them that they could all use a "freshing up" stop; so,
KeeKee found a nice truckstop with clean litterboxes.
Mr. Bo and Keek were done with their business in a few minutes; but, the
girls were nowhere to be seen. Instead of waiting around for them, Keek
and Mr. Bo went inside and bought some turkeyburgers for all of them.
The girls finally appeared, with their fur freshly brushed; and, they
all got back in the car, ate their turkeyburgers and continued on to
Vegas.
Much to their disappointment, when they entered the first casino they
came across, they were asked for I.D.s to prove their ages. Since none
of them are 21, they were asked to leave.
Grumbling and moaning, they went back to the car and headed home. They
stopped along the way to chase a few lizards. Mr. Bo actually caught
one; but, he felt sorry for it and let it go. Besides, nobody thought it
would taste very good, anyways.
They got back to Dana Point, just as the first of the fireworks lit up
the sky above the ocean; so, they went down to the beach and watched the
show.
It turned out to be a good day, after all :).
AUGUST 8, 2002
The wink winks, Mr. BoJangles & Bambi and Mimi & KeeKee, had been saving
up their allowances for months and decided to spend their tunas and go
to Disneyland!!
They arrived early; and, KeeKee got a nice close parking space. As soon
as they entered the park, their fuzzy little jaws dropped in wonder.
They knew it would be big; but, they had no idea just how huge
Disneyland was. They looked at the little maps they were given and just
couldn't decide where to go first. The girls wanted to go to
Fantasyland; but, the boys wanted to go to Frontierland; so, they went
to a snack shop to eat some breakfast and decide.
They all had salmon flavored waffles and turkeymeat sausages. When they
were done, they agreed to go to the Haunted House, first. Mimi screamed
when a ghost "sat" in her lap; but, Keek put his paw around her shoulder
and told her it wasn't real. Mr. BoJangles also held Bambi close, as she
was scared from the moment they entered.
Since this ride had been so frightful for the girls, the boys agreed to
go on the "Small World" ride next. Keek and Mr. Bo were pretty bored;
but, Bambi & Mimi sang the tune along with the little characters that
they passed.
Eventually, they all got to ride on just about every ride in the park.
By the time they got back to KeeKee's pink catillac, they were exhausted
and took a nap in the car, until the security guy told them the park was
closed and they had to go home. Home they went, to their soft little
beds, with dreams of fantasy creatures and exciting rides dancing about
in their heads.
September 14, 2002
As a special treat, for the Labor Day Holiday, the wink winks, KeeKee &
Mimi and Mr. BoJangles & Bambi, went to Sea World. They all got into
Keek's pink catillac and put the top down to enjoy the ocean breeze as
they rode.
They had never been there, before; and, they didn't know what to expect.
Their first surprise was that they didn't have enough money to get in;
so, they snuck in, under the fence. Little did they know that a security
camera caught them, on film; and, the guards were searching the park for
them.
Somehow, they managed to elude the guards long enough to see the
dolphins playing with their trainers, and the giant whales splashing
happily around in their tanks. KeeKee wanted to jump in and play with
them; but, Mimi talked him out of it. She reminded him that it was
really just a big bathtub; and, we all know how much kitties hate baths.
After the big shows, they viewed the smaller fish exhibits; and, this
reminded them that they had skipped lunch; so, they found a snack stand
and ordered turkeymeat burgers and milk.
Just as they were finished eating, KeeKee let out a loud belch, which
attracted the attention of the security guard, who recognized them from
the picture taken by the security camera. The wink winks knew they were
in trouble, so they ran as fast as their furry little legs could go.
They snuck out and ran for the catillac. Out of breath from running and
laughing, they jumped in and hid.
After the guard gave up, Mr. Bo got out his catnip and shared it with
everyone; and, they watched the nightly fireworks from the comfort of
the soft velvet cushions of Keek's car.
HALLOWEEN, 2002
The wink winks, Mimi & KeeKee and Bambi & Mr. BoJangles, decided to stay
at Mr. Bo's house on Halloween (since his meowmie was out for the
evening) and see all the little trick or treaters that came to the door.
Mimi and Bambi made the treats, while Mr. Bo and Keek decorated the
house.
Mimi filled little plastic Jack o'lanterns with pieces of Tartar Control
Pounce, while Bambi made little orange cellophane wrapped turkeymeat
balls.
When everything was ready, they decided to order a pizza; but, they
couldn't agree on the toppings. Mr. BoJangles wanted flaked salmon. Mimi
wanted cubed chicken. Bambi wanted wanted Fancy Feast on hers; and,
KeeKee, of course, wanted turkeymeat. They compromised and ordered a
large pizza with all of the above, a carton of milk; and, at the last
minute added lobster to the pizza.
When the pizza arrived, they all had to pool their allowances to pay for
it, since the lobster really drove up the cost. It took every cent they
had; so, for a tip, they gave the driver one of Mimi's Pounce Jack
O'lanterns and one of Bambi's turkeymeat balls. He seemed a bit
surprised; but, he smiled and thanked them, anyways.
They were just finishing the last bit of the pizza when the doorbell
started ringing. They all ran to open the door. "Trick or treat"! They
saw three smiling little ghosts, with their bags held out. Mimi placed
the two treats in each of their bags. The little ghosts didn't look very
happy, as they walked back down the path. This went on for several
hours, until it was too late for human children to be out.
Finally, the doorbell stopped ringing; and, the wink winks discovered,
to their delight, that there were several of each treat left; so,
naturally, they ate them and called it a night.
When meowmie Lynnda came home, she was surprised to find toilet paper
decorating all the trees and broken eggs all over the house. She went
inside and saw an innocent furry pile of sleeping cats, an empty pizza
box, several pieces of orange cellophane paper and empty Pounce
packages. She never did figure out why her house got tee-peed and why
there were messages from angry parents on her phone machine; and, the
cats weren't talking!
December 7, 2002

For one of his Christmas Presents, Bambi gave Mr.BoJangles a very special cookie.

JANUARY 12, 2003
Mimi and Bambi wanted to go to the mall and take advantage of all the
after holiday sales. Although the mall isn't a great favorite of Mr.
BoJangles and KeeKee, they agreed to go with the girls.
The boys were good, and went to several stores, waiting while the girls
tried on dresses, jeans, sweaters, hats and more; but, when Bambi said
she wanted to go to Victoria's Secret, KeeKee suddenly turned pale. As
you all know, he has a deep fear of "bazeers", ever since Bitsy
discovered him and Henry posing as Keekella and and Henrieta and made
them wear "bazeers" under their cheerleader outfits.
Bambi and Mimi entered the store, arm in arm and giggling, with Mr. Bo
right behind them. KeeKee hung back while he gathered the nerve to
enter. As soon as he was inside the store, his worst nightmares came
true. Right there, hanging from the walls, were bazeers of all sizes and
colors; and, the worst part of it was that the sales clerk looked just
like Bitsy!
KeeKee started screaming, "Helps! Helps!" and ran out of the store with
his tail between his legs. The others followed him out, all asking, "Wat
bees wrong, Keek?".
Embarrassed about his outburst, KeeKee said, "Oh...um....er...I jess
rememfur, I is hungries." Mr. Bo, who is like a big brother to KeeKee,
said, "Wells, Keek, mew shudda jess telled us dat and we cudda went to
da resfurant furse and eats sum turkeymeat".
Mimi, who was a bit miffed at KeeKee's behavior, wasn't as
understanding. She took Keek aside and said, "Mews, Keek, affur da way
mew ack, dey neffur gonna lets mew in dat store, not effur!. Nex times
me an Bambi wants to goze shop, we is leafing mew home!".
Although, secretly KeeKee was very relieved, he told Mimi that he was
sorry and bought her a bunch of flowers from the little booth in the
mall. After a couple of bites, Mimi forgave him; and, being a sweet
girl, she shared her flowers with her friends. All was forgiven, as the
four of them walked thru the mall, happily munching on Mimi's flowers.
FEBRUARY 18TH, 2003
As a special treat, for Valentine's Day, Mimi and Bambi pooled their
toonas and bought four tickets to the Daytona 500. Mr. BoJangles and
KeeKee were so excited that they decided to get in KeeKee's pink
catillac and drive thru the night, all four kitties taking turns
driving. This was the first time that Keek let Bambi drive his car since
she wrecked it in the Fourth of July Parade.
When they arrived in Daytona Beach, they discovered that all the hotels
and motels were full; so, they cuddled up in the car and slept there.
KeeKee keeps an emergency litterbox in the trunk; so, they had all the
comforts of home.
They awoke with the sunrise and decided to get some breakfast and go to
the track, even though the race didn't start until noon. They got the
best parking space, since the lot was fairly empty; and, they had no
trouble finding their seats.
Mimi turned to ask KeeKee a question and realized he was not in his
seat. She asked Bam and Mr. Bo if they knew where he had gone; but,
before they could even open their mouths, the question was answered.
There on the racetrack was a single race car speeding through the high
banked turns. They knew, at once, that it had to be Keek. Around and
around it went, until three more race cars appeared on the track and
chased it back to the pits.
The kids were all afraid that they'd be thrown out on their tails, when
KeeKee was escorted back to his seat, in pawcuffs, by a NASCAR official
and warned to stay in his seat or leave!!
Keek was very quiet, until the official left. Then he said, "Did mew
sees me? Dat wuz so many funs. I jess cant's wates to do dis again!"
The other three kitties gave him dirty looks and said, "No ways, KeeKee;
an' furfurmore we is drife home. We has seed mew drife!!"
St.Patrick's Day
The four wink winks decided to go to a fancy restaurant to celebrate St.
Catrick's Day; so, Mimi made reservations; and, they all got dressed up
and headed to the restaurant.
When they got there, the hostess led them to the nicest table in the
room. Mr. BoJangles and KeeKee held the chairs for Bambi and Mimi, like
genuine gentlecats.
They talked about what each was going to order, while they sipped from
their water bowls. After a few minutes, they noticed that people were
staring at them. Then, the hostess came over and told them that they
were drinking from their finger bowls and asked them to please get off
the table. Mimi was very embarrassed and told the hostess that it was
KeeKee's idea.
Before long, their meals arrived. KeeKee was shocked by the platter full
of green turkeymeat. Mimi was staring at a plate full of green fish.
Bambi whispered to Mr. BoJangles, "Mewss Misfur Bo, how comes all our
fude bees green?"
Mr. Bo looked, thoughtfully, at his green chicken and answered her.
"Mewsss Bambi, I duzn't noze; butt, it shure smells gud." Bambi agreed;
and, they both started eating.
Keek and Mimi were still staring at their food. Keek called the waiter
over and said, "Hey, why my turkeymeat green; an, why my wink wink
fishies bees green?"
The waiter explained that it was a tradition to serve green food on St.
Patrick's Day.
KeeKee, confused, said, "Wat dis St. Patrick Day. We finked it wuz St.
Catrick day an dat all cats gets to eats fur free."
The waiter answered, "Well, sir, you seem to have misunderstood. Today
is St. PATrick's Day"; and, he walked away.
KeeKee looked across the table at Mr. Bo and said, "pssst, Misfur Bo,
duz mew has any toonas to pays fur dis green fude?".
Mr. BoJangles said, "No, KeeKee, Mew telled me da fude wuz free; soze, I
spended all my toonas on a purrsent fur my luffly Bambi." Keek asked the
girls; and, it seems that Mimi had spent her allowance at the beauty
shop; and, Bambi had spent hers on her new dress.
The waiter, who had years of experience in these matters, saw them
whispering and knew immediately what the problem was. He told them that
they might as well eat their food, since he couldn't serve it to anyone
else; but, they had better not order any dessert; and, they might as
well plan on spending the rest of the night in the kitchen, washing
dishes.
Chances are, KeeKee will pay more attention to the names of Holidays,
from now on!!
Easter, 2003
Every year, at Easter time, KeeKee has made every effort possible to
catch the Easter Bunny. This year, the lovely and talented Mimi
convinced him to give up this foolishness and have a nice Easter with
her and Bambi and Mr. BoJangles.
They decided to make turkeymeat and ham sandwiches and go to the park to
eat their Easter dinner. Mr. BoJangles found a lovely spot surrounded by trees
and bushes; and, they spread their blanket and got ready to dig into the
picnic basket and pig out.
Just as they were all getting comfy, KeeKee spotted something in the
bushes. He stared at the bushes; and, what he saw seemed to appear and
then disappear. He couldn't stand it any longer; and, he turned to the
other kitties and said, "Hey mew guyz. Duz mew sees dat?".
The others looked in the direction and saw nothing. Mimi asked KeeKee
what he thought he was seeing; and, he said, "Ears!! I sees bigg wite
bunnee ears!!."
This did not set well with Mimi; and, she said, "Oh, KeeKee, mew
purrmised to furgets abowt catches da Easfur Bunnee".
KeeKee, still staring at the bushes, saw the big white ears again. "Mimi
(he said), I noze I purrmise; butt, dis jess too gud to bees tru!". With
that, he took off across the clearing.
Meanwhile, Bambi had passed out the sandwiches and she and Mr. BoJangles were
already happily munching. Mimi was so angry with Keek that she didn't
wait for him to eat and joined Bambi and Mr. BoJangles in the feast.
Hours later, KeeKee returned, tired and hungry; and, they all asked him
where he had been. He knew better than to tell them he had been chasing
the Easter Bunny; so, he said, "Wells, I wuz jess gets sum eggsercize
afore I eated. Is it times to eats yet?"
Mimi told him that they had already eaten; but, they saved some
turkeymeat for him.
And, so the story ends, with KeeKee gobbling up his turkeymeat and
planning how he'll catch the Easter Bunny next year :)
MAY 17, 2003
The four wink winks decided that the weather was just purrfect for
camping; so, they loaded up tents and camping gear and went to the lake
for a weekend of "nature" activities.
As soon as they got there, KeeKee and Mr. BoJangles wanted to rent a
boat and go fishing. Bambi and Mimi weren't the least bit interested in
putting worms on hooks; so, they decided to stay at the campsite and set
things up.
Keek and Mr. Bo rowed out to the center of the lake, baited their hooks
and expected the fish to come in swarms.
After an hour or so, having caught nothing, Keek turned to Mr. Bo and
asked, "How comes we isn't catches no fishies?"
Mr. Bo said, "Wells, Keek, mebbe dere jess isn't any fishies in dis
lake."
Keek answered him with, "A course dere fishies. Mebbe dey jess
sleeping." With that, they remained in position and waited.
Meanwhile, back at the campsite, the girls had everything set up and
were waiting for the boys to bring them their dinner. To keep from
getting bored, Mimi had brought along some fashion magazines and all her
make-up. By the time they had read everything and gave each other
makeovers, they were starting to get worried about the boys; so, they
walked down to the lake and saw the boat with both boys sound asleep
inside. They called to the boys; but, they were too far out to hear; so,
they went back to the campsite and waited some more.
Hours later, the boys returned with a wild story about all the fishies
they had caught and how a great big birdie swooped down and stole them
all. The girls knew they were making it all up; but, they felt sorry for
these two cold, hungry bedraggled boys and pretended to believe them.
Mimi and Bambi went into their tents and came out with a big package of
turkeymeat, a smoked salmon and a carton of milk, much to the delight of
the boys. As they munched they all agreed that the next time they wanted
fishies, they would go to the market; and, the next time they felt like
camping, they would do it in the back yard!!
